El Plan Maestro Metropolitano de Movilidad (PMMM) plantea las soluciones a las necesidades del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga (AMB). Conozca en esta nota de qué trata y cómo va a ayudar a los ciudadanos.
Bucaramanga, Girón, Piedecuesta y Floridablanca hacen parte de la Junta Directiva del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga que aprobó el Plan Maestro de Movilidad, una herramienta de planificación para que los municipios puedan tomar decisiones en cuanto al sistema de transporte público y una movilidad amigable con el medio ambiente.
Este Plan se construyó luego de un análisis desarrollado a partir de entrevistas a familias y funcionarios para identificar sus necesidades y atender a sus dificultades.

Algunos de los proyectos formulados en el Plan de Movilidad:
- Construir, mantener y/o adecuar la red de paraderos del Transporte Público para que sean
accesibles y seguros. - Implementar iluminación pública orientada a la seguridad de peatones y ciclistas.
- Zonas escolares seguras.
- Sistema de monitoreo, gestión y control del tránsito.
- Mecanismos físicos y virtuales para denuncia de casos de acoso entorno a la movilidad.
- Señalética clara, visible, incluyente e integrada.
El fortalecimiento de la movilidad viene con la inclusión y accesibilidad para todos, es por ello que el Plan le brindará a los ciudadanos una mejor calidad de vida y a los mandatarios la oportunidad de dinamizar la economía de sus municipios.
Respecto a la seguridad vial, se formula la unión de competencias municipales y nacionales con el propósito de cuidar la vida en el sistema de movilidad.
Asimismo, los mandatarios del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga evalúan la posibilidad de un pico y placa metropolitano que busca disminuir la congestión vehicular, los índices de accidentalidad y la producción de gases y ruidos, entre otros aspectos.
